Newborns
 Newborn Photographer - Baby Photographer

The first few weeks of a newborn's life seem to fly by (not to mention the first few years!) and I want to help you remember this precious time. Let's document this newborn yumminess for you to cherish for years to come.

When do I need to schedule my newborn photography session?

Newborn sessions are typically done 5-14 days after birth. Although I recommend reaching out several months in advance, I understand how overwhelming and busy pregnancy is and encourage you to contact me at any time....I don't want you to miss out on timeless, professional photographs.

What do I need to bring to my newborn session?

I have everything you will need for your session including wraps, backdrops and props. If there is something special you would like to include, please let me know in advance and we can absolutely plan the session around it.

How safe are the newborn sessions?

Safety is my first priority. Your baby's safety is far more important than capturing a perfect pose.

All fabrics are washed with detergents that are free of harsh chemicals after each session. And all surfaces are wiped down and disinfected after and prior to each session.

What should I expect during the newborn photography session?

I keep the room warm for the comfort of the baby so I recommend wearing summer clothes.

Please plan on keeping the baby awake for the hours prior to the session so they are nice and sleepy once we get started.

Be prepared to feed your baby when you arrive at the studio and also mid session. Babies with full tummies tend to sleep longer.

Once you arrive and the baby is fed, I take it from there. You are welcome to sit back and relax. Bring your laptop. Listen to a podcast. Catch up on sleep. Whatever you would like to do with your free time.

Can I be in the photos as well?

Of course! I love photographing newborns with their family. Some people prefer a mother/baby photo only. Others bring the entire family.

How long will the session be?

Newborn sessions typically last between 2-4 hours, depending on the baby. Most babies will sleep the entire time and the session will last 3-4 hours. Every baby is different however, and some sessions only last around 2 hours.

When and how will I receive my images?

I always tell clients that I will have their photos ready within 3-4 weeks in order to account for unforeseen circumstances. I am a mom too! It rarely takes that long though. I like to get them back to you quickly so you can share with your friends and family.

A variety of images from the session are hand-edited and loaded into an online gallery. You will be able to admire the photos from the comfort of your home and download the images of your choosing. From there, you can either print the images on your own or can order professional prints through me...taking advantage of the professional photographer discounts I receive.
